Loosing a pet - what happens next?

When the time comes to say your final farewell to your beloved pet, it might help a little bit to understand what happens next.

Everyone deals with the loss of a pet in different ways.

Knowing the options available here in Jersey may help a little during the time of grieving.

For animal owners lucky enough to own a private piece of land there is the option to burry your pet in the garden. You can leave your pet with us until you have made the necessary arrangements and collect him or her when you are ready.

Home burial may not be an option for everyone, so we can arrange a cremation service for you.

Pet cremations are provided by the JSPCA in Jersey.

Some people prefer to make their own arrangements with the Animal Shelter, others choose for us to act on their behalf.
