Monty's owner was in a state of shock when two dogs attacked her 16-year-old cat in front of her.
After hours of looking for her frightened cat, she finally found him and brought him to Ballantrae surgery.
Monty was in a state of shock and badly injured.
Radiographs revealed he was suffering from pneumothorax (collapsed lung) and sub-cutaneous emphysema (air trapped under the skin).
He was treated for shock and received oxygen therapy.
After 2 days of intensive care at the surgery,he was reunited with his owner.
Monty has made a remarkable recovery and is now back to his cheerful, purry old self again.
A truly lucky cat...
