WELCOME TO JERSEY VILLAGE VETS LTD

Working from four well equipped surgeries in St. Mary, St. Clement, St. Brelade and our new surgery at St. Martin we pride ourselves on providing state of the art veterinary care with traditional values.

Jersey Village Vets Ltd is a long-established Jersey veterinary practice, staffed and equipped to meet all the veterinary and health needs of domestic pets and horses. We are very proud to remain a locally owned and independent veterinary practice.

ABOUT US

Each of our branches is staffed by a small team of vets and nurses, and you will almost always be attended to by a vet who knows you and your animals personally. This continuity of care is a great strength of our practice, but we also have several vets with special interests who can combine their talents in appropriate cases to ensure the best possible outcomes for your animals.

We are an RCVS approved veterinary nurse training practice since 2017.

We provide a full 24 hour emergency service for accidents and emergencies, which can be obtained by dialling 01534 481 811 and listening to the recorded message.

Any pets requiring hospitalisation are accommodated at our Oak Farm Surgery, where our night nurses provide continuous overnight care.

All the vets and nursing team look forward to meeting you and your animals at any of our five premises.

CAT CLINIC

We are proud to be offering cat only environment in a separate building!

Trips to the vet can be very stressful for cats. Loud noise, dogs barking and sniffing at the cat box make the experience even worse.

**Coronavirus Update**

Please find below our current advice for clients regarding COVID-19.

Please be advised, Jersey Village Vets surgeries will remain open for your animal welfare and medical needs. We would like to assure you that animal health and welfare will always be our first concern when attending to your animals, however in light of the recent advice from the Government of Jersey with regards to containing the spread of Coronavirus, we would ask if you could please adhere to the following:

Please can we remind all owners not to bring your pets to the surgery yourselves if you are self-isolating because of confirmed Covid-19 or because you have the relevant symptoms or recent travel history. Where possible in these instances, please nominate a friend/family member from outside your home to bring the animal to the practice. If your pet requires emergency treatment, please call the practice for further advice.

To enhance social distancing, you are welcome to park outside any of our surgeries if attending for an appointment and/or collecting medication and call the branch. (01534) 481811 Oakfarm opt.1, Ballantrae opt. 2, Sommet Vert opt. 3, Martin’s opt. 4

Please be advised, within our surgeries, we are cleaning and sanitising regularly throughout the day, to include all commonly touched surfaces.

Please wait in your car until your designated appointment time, if possible, to minimise the number of people in the waiting room.

We are extending appointment times to allow appropriate cleaning between consultations and to reduce waiting times.

We will ask you to attend appointments alone where possible. Please leave family members or friends in your car or at home, if appropriate.

We will keep staff presence during consultations to a minimum.

Current research has shown that animals cannot catch Covid-19, but it is worth being careful around animals that have been in a Covid positive or symptomatic household as they may spread the disease on their fur, similar to transfer by a door handle or other surfaces. For repeat prescriptions, when ready, we will phone you to advise when to collect and give you the option of paying over the phone to minimise staff/client interaction.

In the event that our staff have to visit your home on an urgent visit, please advise the vet if you are self-isolating whether you are symptomatic or not, so the correct protocols can be followed.

Please do not hesitate to phone us if you have any queries, and we will do our very best to help in treating your pet at this exceptional time.

The JVV Team.
